Wearing Stripes

That's me.

A little younger, and a stripe less than I have now...

I'm not your typical camo wearing soldier.

I mean, I follow the rules ...

I listen to my chain of command ...

I do what I'm told ...

I wear the right uniform, at the right time, and make it look good ...

But it doesn't mean I like every single moment of it.

It doesn't mean I agree with how things are done all the time.

It doesn't mean being an NCO in the United States Army Reserve is my entire life.

But it does mean that through out this series, I'll share my experiences, teaching moments, the sucky moments, and trying to figure it all out as I make my way through this career as a senior in my profession.

This is where I insert my legalities :
I will not post anti-military stuff (because face it, i may not like it all the time, but it is my job and my pride/love for the country why I continue to serve).
I will not post anything security sensitive .... so take that ISIS.
I will not belittle any service members, but will provide teaching moments as I come across them.
I will not use real names of other service members for safety of them and their families. This also includes photos of them, unless I am given permission from them.
I will have laughable moments, but they are my experiences and does not reflect on other's experiences or what the Army strives to be.
I love my country and my service as well as the sacrifices others have given for me to continue to do what I do. So I will not tolerate any stupid shit on this series. I will block you if you harass me or any other person on here.

I know I'll walk a fine line of what I can and can't say because I do wear that uniform, but I will try my damnedest to show you that being a Soldier, while balancing life, is pretty freaking cool.

Shit. Now that THAT is over, let's get to the life of an Army Reserve NCO!

(and no, I will not end these posts with "Hooah." It's dumb, and I will not sink to that level) ;)

God Speed!

....

That's not right either ...

We will work on it!
